Tintinnid ciliate, lorica 120-155 microns, diameter at mouth 65-90 microns, usually about 70 microns, pedicel 26-32 microns. The lower part of the bowl is covered with strong coarse reticulations, which end in free, vertical ribs. The upper two-thirds is covered with very fine reticulations, which are slightly larger in the middle of the bowl.
