Voorkoms
Die vis het groot skubbe en die dorsale vin is groter as by die ander spesies. Daar is twee pare baarde om die mond. Die vis word tot 390 mm lank en weeg 3.2 kg.

- Fa 39 cm de llargària màxima i 3.200 g de pes.

Alimentació
Menja larves d'insectes aquàtics, crustacis, mol·luscs i peixets.[9]
Hàbitat
És un peix d'aigua dolça, bentopelàgic i de clima tropical (11°S-18°S).[6]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a Àfrica: Angola, Namíbia, Zàmbia i Zimbabue (incloent-hi les conques dels rius Zambezi i Okavango).[10][11][12][13][14][15]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[6]

The Upper Zambezi yellowfish, Labeobarbus codringtonii, is commonly found throughout the Zambezi and Okavango Rivers in Southern Africa.
