An almost mature female measuring about 4.0 cm length was caught on July 8, 1915. It had 60 eggs on both ovaries, each egg was 2 mm in diameter (Ref. 2058).

Nazikburun çömçəxul (lat. Benthophilus leptorhynchus) — Çömçəxullar cinsinin bir nümayəndəsidir.
Yayılması
Xəzərin endemik növüdür. Azərbaycan sahillərində ancaq Yalamadan Giləziyə qədər qeydə alınmışdır.
Morfoloji əlamətləri
Bədəni bir qədər uzunsov, öndən və üstdən basıq, başı ensiz, burnu uzunsovdur. Başı üstdən demək olar ki, düzdür. Çənəsində kiçik dəri bığcıq, ağızın küncləri arxasında isə dəri qırış əvəzinə iki sıra xırda dişcik vardır. Bədəni və başı üstdən və böyürlərdən yeknəsəq ziyillərlə örtülmüşdür. Belində və böyürlərində iri xallar yoxdur.
Çoxalması
1915-ci ildə təxminən 4,0 sm uzunluğunda təxminən yetkin bir dişi fərd tutuldu. Hər iki yumurtalığında hər yumurtanın diametri 2 mm olan 60 yumurta var idi.

The short-snout pugolovka (Benthophilus leptorhynchus) is a deepwater species of goby widespread in the central part of the Caspian Sea at the depth of 40 to 150 metres (130 to 490 ft), with salinity 10–13.5‰. It is found along the western coast of the Caspian Sea from the mouth of the Sulak River to Baku at south.[1] This species can reach a length of 4 centimetres (1.6 in) TL.[2]
