Cethosia, commonly called the lacewings, is a genus of butterflies of the subfamily Heliconiinae in the family Nymphalidae. They are found mainly in southeastern Asia as far south as Australia.

Cethosia er en slekt av tropiske sommerfugler som hører til underfamilien Heliconiinae i den store familien flikvinger (Nymphalidae). Cethosia-artene blir gjerne ført til gruppen Acraeini, men er ganske ulike de andre artene i denne gruppen å se til, og det er usikkert om plasseringen er korrekt.

Utseende

Store, bredvingede sommerfugler. Vingene har tannet ytterkant, særlig bakvingen. Oversiden er vanligvis brokete farget i oransje, svart og hvitt, undersiden brunlig med lyse tegninger.

Levevis

Acraeini er skogsinsekter. Larvene lever på planter i pasjonsblomstfamilien.

Utbredelse

Slekten finnes fra Australia til Sørøst-Asia.
