Lerodea arabus is a year-round resident in southern Arizona and southern Texas (Scott 1986). Habitats are subtropical thorn forest in Texas, open woodland (mostly in valley bottoms) in Arizona. Host plant is grass. Eggs are laid on the host plant singly. There are several flights each year with the approximate flight time April1 ? Dec. 31 in Arizona, and at least June 1- Nov. 30 in southern Texas (Scott 1986).
