Anatrytonopsis python is a year-round resident in the southwestern United States from Nevada to New Mexico and into Mexico, with a separate small population in eastern Texas (Scott 1986). Habitats are upper Sonoran to lower transition zone open woodland. Host plant is grass. There are several flights each year with the approximate flight time April 1-July 31 (Scott 1986).
