Tomocerus minor is a species of springtail in the family Tomoceridae. It is widespread from the Arctic to Europe, Western and Central Asia down to the Sino-Japanese, Northern and Pacific North America, Hawaii, the Caribbean mainland and New Zealand.[2]
Tomocerus minor can be up to 4.5 millimetres (0.18 in) long,[3] with antennae that are shorter than the body and a characteristic uniform bluish iridisation.

Ce collembole est très répandu, depuis l'Arctique à l'Europe, l'Asie occidentale et l'Asie centrale, au sud jusqu'en Chine et au Japon, dans le nord et sur les côtes Pacifique de l'Amérique du Nord, Hawaï, les Caraïbes et la Nouvelle-Zélande[1].
Ce collembole mesure jusqu'à 4,5 mm de long. Les épines de la dentes (partie intermédiaire de la furcula) ont trois pointes, caractère permettant de distinguer à coup sûr l'espèce[2].
