Bombus haueri is a species of bumblebee. It is endemic to Mexico.[1]
This bee was known from much of northern and central Mexico, where there were records from at least ten states. Since its description in 1888 it has faced an estimated decline of about 74%, and it now occupies perhaps 10% of its historical range. It was not seen at all between 1991 and 2013, and since then it has only been noted in two Mexican states. It is now an endangered species on the IUCN Red List.[1]
This species lives in mountainous habitat. Its range has been affected by the claiming of land for agriculture and associated chemical pollution. Because it is found in volcanic highlands, volcanic activity may affect the species.[1]

Arten har en tät, kort päls som är svart på huvudet och större delen av mellankroppen. På mellankroppen, något efter mitten, har den ett gult tvärband. Även tergiterna (ovansidans bakkroppssegment) 1 och 2 (samt 3 hos arbetarna) är gula, tergiterna 3 till 6 (4 till 6 hos arbetarna) röda. Undersidan, inklusive benen är svart. Drottningen kan bli 18 till 22 mm lång, arbetarna 14 till 16 mm. Hanarna är dåligt studerade.[8]
Arten förekommer sällsynt på grässlätter och i tallskog på höjder mellan 1 700 och 2 500 m. Den är aktiv mellan juni och oktober. Drottningar är mycket vanligare än arbetare, ett faktum som kan tyda på ett kleptoparasitiskt levnadssätt likt snylthumlornas.[8]
Arten förekommer i Mexiko (Distrito Federal samt delstaterna Chihuahua, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Durango, Guanajuato, México, Nuevo León, Jalisco, Michoacán de Ocampo och Morelos).[9]
