General Description

Conidiophores. Fasciculate from subepidermal stroma or from the apex of the pseudothecium, simple or branched, straight to flexuous, colourless, smooth, up to 90 μm long and 4 μm wide. Conidiogenous cells. Polyblastic, integrated, sympodial, cylindrical, terminal or intercalary, cicatrized. Conidia. In chains, colourless, acropleurogenous, simple, cylindrical, straight, substraight or slightly curved, 1- (to 3-) septate, not narrower at the septa, 14-45 × 2-3 (-4) μm. Ascomata. Pseudothecial, amphigenous, mostly epiphyllous, often aggregated or scattered, black, globose to somewhat conate, ostiolate, 120-175 μm wide; the wall composed of pseudoparenchymatous cells. Asci. Fasciculate, cylindrical, bitunicate, 8-spored, 50-70 × 9.5-13 μm. Ascospores. Colourless, 1-septate, fusoid, not or very slightly narrower in the centre, 11-14.5 × 2-3 μm.
