Nyctibates corrugatus és una espècie d'amfibis de la família Arthroleptidae. És monotípica del gènere Nyctibates. Habita a Camerun, Guinea Equatorial i Nigèria. El seu hàbitat natural inclou boscos tropicals o subtropicals secs i a baixa altitud i rius.

Nyctibates is a monotypic genus of frog in the family Arthroleptidae; its sole species is Nyctibates corrugatus.^[2][3] Found in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and Nigeria,^[2] its natural habitats are lowland forests in hilly areas, typically forests that have humid, but not marshy, floors; it requires tall forests with closed canopy. Breeding takes place in fast, rocky streams with clean water. There are no significant threats to this species.^[1]

Répartition

Cette espèce se rencontre jusqu'à 900 m d'altitude dans l'extrême Sud-Est du Nigéria, dans le sud-ouest du Cameroun et en Guinée équatoriale^[1].

Nyctibates corrugatus is een kikker uit de familie Arthroleptidae (vroeger: echte kikkers).^[2]

De soort werd voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door George Albert Boulenger in 1904. De wetenschappelijke naam Astylosternus corrugatus is in het verleden ook wel gebruikt. De kikker wordt tot de onderfamilie Astylosterninae gerekend, en is de enige soort uit het geslacht Nyctibates.

Nyctibates corrugatus komt voor in delen van Afrika en leeft in de landen Equatoriaal-Guinea, Kameroen en Nigeria. Het is een algemeen voorkomende soort, de habitat bestaat uit laaggelegen beboste gebieden.^[3]

Nyctibates corrugatus – gatunek płaza bezogonowego z rodziny artroleptowatych (Arthroleptidae).

Występowanie

Płaza tego napotkać można w zachodniej Afryce. Zasięg jego występowania zahacza na północnym zachodzie o Nigerię, a dokładniej Oban Hills. Rozciąga się on dalej przez prawie cały zachodni Kamerun, sięgając aż do północy Gwinei Równikowej^[2][3]. Niektóre źródła podają, że gatunek do Nigerii został introdukowany^[4].

Gatunek preferuje niziny i tereny pagórkowate. Nie zapuszcza się powyżej 900 m n.p.m. Lubi lasy wysokie i wilgotne, ale nie bagniska^[2].

Rozmnażanie

Zachodzi w środowisku wodnym. Na ten cel wybierane są wartkie, skaliste strumienie^[2].

Status

Jest popularny, przyznano mu kategorię LC. Pomimo tego liczba osobników zmniejsza się^[2].

Niekorzystne skutki dla N. corrugatus ma utrata środowiska, w którym żyje^[2].

Nyctibates é um género de anfíbios da família Arthroleptidae. Está distribuída pela Nigéria, Camarões e Guiné Equatorial. A sua única espécie é Nyctibates corrugatus.
