Detected as it scurried across ground toward fallen yucca limb at 0815 hrs. Its body was unmistakably cool and gave the impression that it was found just as it began to bask. Air temperatures near 21 C (70 F).
Common on boulders in shaded riparian habitat. Males of the area are very colorful, underside of belly, throat and limbs entirely vivid blue. Measured SVL 95 mm (3 in.), TL 217 mm (8 in.). Female examined exhibited pale-blue venter and measured SVL 100 mm (4 in.), TL 215 mm (8 in.).
