Would most closely key to Cheilanthes feei based on our local floras but it appears it may actually be Myriopteris intertexta syn. Cheilanthes intertexta inasmuch as it does have abaxial scales.June 4, 2010, Salt Lake County foothills, Wasatch Front, Utah, elev. approx. 5,250 ft.

Habitat of Cheilanthes feei (as treated in our local floras, but may actually be Myriopteris intertexta syn. Cheilanthes intertexta). Associated species included Gambel's oak and Ericameria obovata growing in quartz crevices.June 4, 2010, Salt Lake County foothills, Wasatch Front, Utah, elev. approx. 5,250 ft.
