Dolichopodidae Long legged fly -
Heterosilopus trifaciatus These little flies were flying above the leaf litter under shady trees along a permanent stream. They are able to jump out of a photo when the flash goes off, so I resorted to using a high ISO and fast speed. It works but makes the photos very grainy (noisy). Will have to try something else another day. :-)At certain angles the patterns on the wings seemed to line up with the abdomen bands, making the fly look larger than it was. Thanks for the ID Dan Bickel via
