Tremella foliacea

Tremella foliacea are thought to be parasitic while growing on dead wood; most commonly hardwood. Known by various names such as jelly leaf or leafy jelly or Brown Witches’ Butter, Fodros rezgõgomba or leafy brain. Like the closely-related Tremella aurantia, Leafy Brain, Tremella foliacea grows on dead wood that has been attacked by the wood-rotting fungus Stereum hirsutum (commonly referred to as Hairy Curtain Crust)and other sp? Smell strongly of tar when drying.
