Diagnostic characters

Pronotum not produced posteriorly over scutellum, with or without anteromedian horn. Scutellum acuminate, keeled posteriorly. Forewing opaquely sclerotized to near apex or throughout, claval apex acuminate; apical limbus narrow. Hind wing with reduced venation, crossvein r-m present (Stictodepsa) or veins R4+5 and M1+2 fused distally, marginal vein reduced (Stictodepsa) or absent; apex with dense semicircular chaetoids.
