The flower of Panama's National Tree has no petals. It is of the Tropical Chestnut Genus, and ranges from Mexico to Brazil with names such as Camoruco. It is both planted and appreciated for its wood, but mainly for its seeds which are edible and yield a useful oil. Photo from Barro Colorado Island, Panama.
