A "beaded lacewing",
Lomamyia species--the only North American genus in this family (an oddball group with an odd name,
Berothidae). I found this at my porch light on a cool evening, just after dark. Captured and posed. I see one or two per summer on my porch, and have found them a couple of times at lighted sheets in woodlands on collecting expeditions.

Lomamyia species--found this at my porch light. I can't resist photographing these odd neuropterans every time I can. I usually find just a few every summer, so that is not too often. Body length is about 8 mm. Provided in extra-large (1800 pixel width) for viewing the details.
