Oceanodromous. Migrating within oceans typically between spawning and different feeding areas, as tunas do. Migrations should be cyclical and predictable and cover more than 100 km.
Biology

High-oceanic, mesopelagic species. Found at 275-750 m during the day and at 40-125 m during the night. Sexually mature from about 2.7 cm (Ref. 4479).
