Found on the gorgonian Lophogorgia chilensis brought up from 58 m. The hermits have found home in the shells of Nassarius mendicus cooperi

The California spiny lobster, Panulirus interruptus, is a species of spiny lobster found in the eastern Pacific Ocean from Monterey Bay, California.

Female Emerita about 30 mm long. The underside of this female shows orange eggs that she is brooding between her thorax and her folded abdomen; her abdominal swimmerets hold the eggs in place.
