Description: Most of the world's populations of this species breed on South Georgia Island (Geogias del Sur) about six weeks later than the Northern Giant Petrel. The dark color morph makes up 90% of the population. Females are smaller than males and during nesting season, males forage close to shore, while females are more pelagic. Date: 14 March 2013, 14:47.
