Maximum longevity: 20.6 years (captivity)
Observations: In the wild, 10 year-old females have been known to give birth and record longevity is 13.7 years (Ronald Nowak 1999). One wild born male was around 20.6 years old when he died in captivity (Richard Weigl 2005).
