Late in the season, Geum macrophyllum var. perincisum dons a distinctly different look. Synonyms include Geum macrophyllum subsp. perincisum, Geum macrophyllum var. rydbergii, Geum perincisum, Geum oregonense and others. It is a member of the Rose family and is distributed over most of the western United States through the extreme North Central Midwest to Michigan, and from Greenland to Alaska.
