Description

provided by AmphibiaWeb articles
Bufo pisinnus is a small (males to 51 mm, females to 62 mm SVL) member of the Bufo coccifer group that is the northwestern-most representative of the group. It differs from other members of the group by its small size and weakly developed cranial crests, and from the otherwise smallest member of the group, B. cycladen, in having much smaller, less spinose dorsolateral tubercles. The species is known only from Michoacan, Mexico.
