Hesperia juba is a year-round resident of the western United States and north into British Columbia (Scott 1986). Habitats are sagebrush, chaparral and open woodland. Host plants are multiple species of grasses. Eggs are laid on or near the host plant singly. Individuals overwinter probably as larvae. There are two flights each year with the approximate flight time May1-June 15 and Sept. 1-Sept. 30 (Scott 1986).
