Euphyes conspicua is a year-round resident of the mid-Atlantic and Midwestern United States (Scott 1986). Habitats are mostly northern Upper Austral to transition zone marshy areas. Host plant is sedge species Carex stricta (Cyperaceae). There is one flight each year with the approximate flight time july 1- early Aug. in the northern part of the range, late June ?early Aug. in the southern part of the range (Scott 1986).
