Description: English: Was recorded directly my a canon 5D mark III, and sound extracted with no other enhancement. Seen this bird on a guided tour, it was feeding before vocalization. I suppose this is a song as our guide told us it is showing its territory. It was on a open beach. I started recording after it started, therefore only last ~third of the calls. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no Common name: Southern Brown Kiwi Type: song Genus: Apteryx Species: australis Location: Ocean beach, Stewart Island, Southland District, Southland Country: New Zealand Elevation: 0 m.
