Would you bewlieve that these are flowers ? You can see the anthers producing lots of wind-dispersed pollen. These are flowers of the most important economic plant for humankind - wheat. It is the wild wheat - the progenitor of cultivated wheat that produce 70% of our food (accept for Asia). Wild wheat is found along Israel and the Middle East. In our botanical Gardens there is a spontaneous population of this exciting plant.
