another rare annual that we grow at the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens. It grows mainly in the northern part of Israel and is characteryzed by these black bordered bracts. The reasons for growing these rare plant are to educate the people about them, to create backup living populations in the garden and sometimes even to re-introduce them back to nature.
