Endemic to Kaua'i and O'ahu. While the 'Man. Flow. Plants of Hawaii', Wagner, et.al. Rev.ed. 1999, lists the plant from 200m to 800m, I observered several wild plants in the Alaka'i at 4000-4100ft/1220-1250m. This photo 4100ft/1250m. Note bright yellow, waxy corolla with long tube.
