Description:

Slo.: pordeela povevka - Habitat: Young open mixed wood, predominately Picea abies, some Pinus sp. and Fagus sylvatica, mossy, quite humid ground, in half shade, no sun during winter months, nearly flat calcareous terrain, torrent deposits covered by vegetation, average precipitations ~3.000 mm/year, average temperature 6-8 deg C, elevation 840 m (2.750 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: grassy and mossy ground. - Comment: Growing in small groups, several specimens. Pileus diameter 3 to 7 cm (1.2 to 2.5 inch), taste bitter, smell almost non, flesh brittle, SP white. Spore dimensions: 9.0 (SD = 0.8) x 5.4 (SD = 0.4) micr., Q = 1.72 (SD = 0.14), n = 30.
