Image of African clawed frog
Description:
Under bridge in shaded, deep-water, school of tadpoles viewed facing head down filtering food from water. Recently transformed juveniles located nearby buried in sand, resting on sandbank, and clinging to sides of moss-covered cement partitions in water. At night and using flashlight, adult and moderate-size juveniles spotted emerging from dense algae in still water. Many portions of the creek were searched, but tadpoles and frogs appeared to congregate together in deepest, shaded portion of creek; no tadpoles/frogs seen elsewhere in creek.
