Image of white clover

Description:
Plants on grassy prairie remnant, undeveloped and rarely mowed. A non-native species, introduced as a forage crop, a nitrogen fixer and groundcover in poor soils. Use for re-vegetation can be a detriment to native plant communities. This is one of two clover species most often referred to as a 'shamrock' in Ireland.
