Chinook

Description:
In the fish ladder at the Hiram M Chittenden Locks north of the centre of Seattle. Through glass, note the moving bubbles as streaks, gives some idea of the water speed. The fish in the foreground is a male chinook, there were other species of salmon in the ladder.
