Heathcote National Park, southern outskirts of Sydney, New South Wales. Track from Waterfall Station to Kingfisher Pool.This is the 'true' H. dactyloides, after the splitting off of H. laevipes as a distinct species. Distinguished by its non-lignotuberous growth form and less dense coating of rusty hairs on stems and young leaves. See adjacent shots of H. laevipes.
