Clustered lady's slipperOrchidaceae (Orchid family)Range: Endemic to the western United States (Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming)IUCN: VulernableThis is a scanned photo taken in late spring/early summer of 1979 on Mt. Ashland, Oregon near forest opening/meadow. To the east in the Cascade Range were populations of Cypripedium montanum (not yet in bloom) and to the near west in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness were hundreds of C. californicum growing with Darlintonia californica. Looking for these photos. Was a memorable spring/summer!
