Description:
Thailand. Phu Reua National Park, Loei Province. One of the most common evergreen trees in stunted submontane forest on sandstone plateau.Together with Eurya, Cleyera, Ternstroemia and Visnea, Anneslea is now placed in family Pentaphylacaceae in Angiosperm Phylogeny Website. In the Ericales cladogram this does not lie very close to Theaceae, in which these genera have traditionally been included.
