Sand whiting - Sillago ciliata

Description:
Everyone benefits from well-managed marine reserves. Even though the reserve where this photo was taken is tiny, within a few years we have seen the return of targeted species such as sand whiting. This once common fish is a rare find these days, particularly in schools. Once populations recover the surrounding areas will benefit from the return of the species.
