Ficus virens 050805-9617

Description:
Botanic Gardens, Sydney. There are several fine old specimens of this in the gardens, seen here as a tree with relatively short trunk and widely spreading crown coming quite low to the ground. Semi-deciduous, it often loses the leaves from only a part of the crown, probably about late spring in Sydney as we miss out on the tropical dry season.
