Description:
L: 6-8 mmMainly found on damp meadows, openings and field path. Cheilosia albitarsis tolerates moderate agricultural utilization and enters forests along buttercup-lined field tracks [DREES 1997].Hauptschlich auf Wiesen, Waldlichtungen und an Feldwegen anzutreffen. Die Art ertrgt eine mige landwirtschaftliche Nutzung und dringt entlang der von Hahnenfu (Ranunculus repens) gesumten Wege auch in geschlossene Wlder ein [DREES 1997]. Die Larven der Cheilosia-Arten sind alle phytophag, C. impressa in Wurzelauslufern, Stngeln und Blattstielen von Kletten oder Kunigundenkraut (Wasserdost).
