Russula laurocerasi Slo.: mandljeva golobicaDat.: Sept. 06. 2010Lat.: 46.33414 Long.: 13.53091Code: Bot_455/2010_DSC4502 Habitat: Light mixed forest with some ground vegetation, dominant Fagus sylvatica, Picea abies, Acer sp., cretaceous clastic rock (flysh) bedrock, flat terrain, mostly in shade, quite humid place, partly protected from direct rain by tree canopies, average precipitations ~3.000 mm/year, average temperature 8-10 deg C, elevation 420 m (1.350 feet), alpine phytogeographical region.Substratum: soil. Place: West of Bovec, near the trail from station A of the Kanin cable car to Pluna village, East Julian Alps, Posoje, Slovenia ECComments: Growing scattered and in large groups, pileus diameter up to 8 cm (3,5 inch), taste unpleasant (old boiled eggs?), smell strong, unmistakable, on bitter almonds; SP crme.
