RUBIACEAE - Splash-of-white (Mussaenda pubescens)
Description:
Erose Mussaenda is a climbing shrub with golden yellow flowers. The "snow flakes" are metamorphosed leaves. The golden yellow corolla is an attractive pentagram. The apical cymous inflorescence is also very pretty. Vine and root of this plant can be used to treat diseases like Cold, Bronchitis, Enteritis, Pharyngitis, Tonsilltitis, Nephritis, metrorrhagia etc.. This photo was captured alongside a nature trail on Sai San, Tsing Yi, Hong Kong.
