Spring peeper

Description:

A friend stumbled across this frog near an ephemeral pond and, lacking camera, I captured it for some photos. I hear these all the time--they call a bit in fall, and then are a din in spring--but I have had little luck sneaking up on calling males.-Animal Diversity Web--Pseudacris crucifer
