Initially identified as Teleopsis sykesii (Westwood, 1837) - determined from photograph by Hans R. Feijen (email to author on 25-June-2010) but now described as a sister species - T. amnoni - see Feijen, HR and C. Feijen (2019). An annotated catalogue of the stalk-eyed flies (Diopsidae: Diptera) of India with description of new species in Megalabops Frey and Teleopsis Rondani. Israel Journal of Entomology 49(2):35-72.
