Description: Family: Menispermaceae Distribution; Common on hedges and thickets, prominent by its drooping branches and yellow racemes.distributed in Peninsular India, SriLanka, Australia and Malaysia. Straggling shrubs, Leaves 3-7x2-4.5cm, ovate-lanceolate, base rounded, apex retuse, mucronate, coriaceous, turning yellow with age. Flowes monoecious,sweet scented,2-3mm across, yellow in 4-10cm long axillary racemes. Sepals and petals 6 each, base auricled, stamens 6 in males, incurved, carpels 3rudimentary, minute, in females staminodes 6, ovaries 3. Fruit drupe, reniform.
