Description: English: At the time this photo was taken, much of the Southern California landscape had been scorched by the summer sun. Bright colors were hard to find amongst a drab background. An exception was this California scrub jay(Aphelocoma californica) perched on a dried out tree whose hints of blue caught my eye.
