October Colours at VoloBog

Description:
Description: English: Because of the botanic diversity, the autumn at Volo Bog includes bright vibrant colours. The golds in the foreground are made by a community in which the grasses and sedges are dominant. The reds in the background include sumacs and other berry-forming bushes. American Larch (= American Tamarack or (Hackmatack) is still green, but just beginning to change colour before it drops its needles. The path that you see is on the bog's mat, and it bounces slightly as you walk on it. Date: 9 October 2011. Source: Own work. Author: M. Readey.
