Description: Parish broomrape, Orobanche parishii subsp. parishii, Westgard Pass, White Mountains, Inyo National Forest, elevation 2090 m (6855 ft). This root parasite was growing in a dry wash in the pinyon-juniper woodland zone. The nearest potential host plants were rubber rabbitbrush (Ericameria nauseosa).
