Description: Varanus varius Spotted this goanna walking in the bush today. (Nov 9th 2009). He isn't a particularly big one, but is magnificently colored. Although he had bolted to the safety of a tree, he didn't go too far up and was quite happy to sit there and have his photo taken. Date: 14 February 2007, 05:06.
