Description:
Description: We came across a tawny eagle on the ground, and up in a nearby tree was a male red-billed buffalo weaver with a broken wing. Tawny eagles will certainly take birds as prey, and we suspect that we had disturbed it as we drove up, and this allowed the buffalo weaver to get away. The eagle flew, but as we drove away we could see it heading back. Maybe it came back to finish the job. Date: 23 December 2013, 15:41. Source: Male red-billed buffalo weaver with a broken wing.
