Description: Pupa of a hoverfly (Syrphidae). This very specimen was made by a larva invested with a ichneumon wasp (Ichneumonidae) of genus Diplazon, that later came out of the pupa instead of the hoverfly. Location: Hengelo (Overijssel), Netherlands Keywords: Pupa, Pupae, Syrphidae, Flowerfly, Flower-fly, Ichneumonidae, parasite --- nl: Pop van een zweefvlieg (Syrphidae). Uit deze pop kroop later geen zweefvlieg, maar een sluipwesp (Ichneumonidae) van het geslacht Diplazon die als eitje in de zweefvlieglarve was gelegd en op larve en pop had geparisteerd. Locatie: Hengelo (Overijssel), Nederland Trefwoorden: Verpoppen, parasiet --- de: Puppe einer Schwebfliege. Aus diesem exemplar kam dennoch eine Schlupfwespe hervor des Genus Diplazon die wohl als Ei in der Schwebfliegenlarve eingebracht war. Date: 29 September 2006. Source: Own work.
